About Énéménji

Who we are:
We are a group of three Armenians born and lived in Lebanon (one of us proudly wishes to die and be buried nowhere outside Lebanon, but that’s a story for another time). We’re very close old friends and for many years we’ve called our trio The Énéménji Group. Since then we’ve strived in creating unique ways to entertain our fellow Armenians around the world. As a result, we started publishing these tastefully done humorous videos with some mischievous and devilish touch. The Armenian-dubbed narration dialogues assumed in our video clips are not necessarily the conversation style we use in our daily life; however, just like our fans, we find it humorous and funny as the slang we use is a mixture of many languages and cultures which we’ve adopted from different generations. In a nutshell we make them for you to laugh and have fun.

Why we do this:
Every time we get together, we spend most of our time with humor and laughter. We believe that funny moments are the most remembered and imprinted good memories. Since we live in a stressful world, from time to time we need to see and hear funny things to relieve from our daily challenges and problems. So why not share our ideas with all those who want to change their mood by watching something funny? Given our history, it’s known that we are a culture that has gone through a lot, and the misfortune that we had faced is greater burden to carry than any other culture ever could. We simply want to contribute to ease that burden of ours a little.

    I have some thoughts about why Ghallash isn’t as popular as Bastermamigonian. Most people can’t really “get” Ghallash unless they are completely familiar with Ghawwar. Also, it’s much funnier to take something serious and turn it into something funny. I think American or Latin American soap operas would be perfect for the kind of thing you guys are doing. Good luck in any case. I enjoy all of it.

    I first saw Basterma clip 2 days ago. Since then I’ve played it over and again because every time I watch it I pick up something new, like a sound effect here, another comment there, etc. At the very least, I get a great ab workout from my stomach muscles contracting so hard from the uncontrolable laughter! My wife and I go so far as to call each other throughout the day in the slang of the video. Simply amazingly funny!

    I agree with you all the way, life is stressful and we need a humour in our daily life, laughing is the best thing you can do your body, soul and mind.
    I have a 2 year old daughter who does not speak yet, she loved it and the first word she said is incheeee, and she keeps repeating. Thank you again and keep up the good work.

    You guys are the best! We have a group of 5 guys just like you. Were still not sick of each other after 16 years. We use all the lines from Vartan 300 and we repeat them any time we watch the movie.     I came accross your site through youtube, the first video I watched – the adventures of Ghallash – we used to watch the originals when I was a kid and I must say I haven’t laughed this hard today in a long time. Thank you for sharing your humor guys!!!
